Party house update!

My brother had to work on a greenhouse for my Mom. She still has a few plants from Dad's funeral, and wanted a greenhouse for them since it's getting chilly. Now that it's finished, we can go back to work on the party house. My brother's neighbor helped him knock out one of the walls, so that we can extend it out about 6 feet to have room for a pool table and a poker table. Looks like a New Year's Eve party is still a possibility.

Possible Reconnection??

I got a card in the mail from a woman who I haven't heard from in about 7 years. She's the biggest crush that I've ever had on a woman, and we ended up becoming best friends. Then, she moved about 20 minutes up the road to be closer to her job, and for whatever reason, never got in touch with me after she got moved in. I was upset, confused, disappointed, and Lord knows what else at the time. After about 7 months, I got a hold of her address from a friend of hers. I wrote her a letter and probably said some things I shouldn't have said. She wrote me back and said some things I wished she hadn't said, including saying that I was no better than her very abusive ex-boyfriend. Talk about hitting below the belt! We talked once on 12-31-99, and that was it. I thought for sure that I'd heard the last of her forever.
About a month ago, I decided to send to her a letter at her work place to tell her about Dad passing away, because Dad really liked her a lot back when we were best friends. Well, this past Wednesday, I got a sympathy card from her, and she preceded to tell me that she had lost her Dad in April. What a sad coincidence! So, last night, I wrote her back a letter, and told her I would love to see her soon. It would either be a new beginning or good closure. I'm hoping for the first option.
