Father's Day

This will be my first Father's Day without my Dad, who passed away on May 28th. I'm not sure how it's gonna be, probably pretty damn sad. Mom's gonna take the four sons out to dinner next Saturday night, the day before Father's Day.
I still stay close to Dad because I started wearing his Marine Corps watch. Yes, he's in my heart forever, but when I look down at my wrist, it's like he's telling me what time it is. So, he'll always be around. But, it's still strange sitting around the house by myself before I go to work in the afternoon.
I want to thank my friends, Tina and Staci, for starting threads on the Falcons' and Racing Stalkers message boards, respectively, to break the news to fellow posters, because I didn't feel like it at the time. Everyone's been great. I wish I could hug every one of them.
Dad, I know you're up there watching. Hope I'm making you proud!

Hey bud. Don't ever doubt it, you ARE doing the ol' man proud just by continuing to live your life the way you are. Great way to keep him close, tho, by wearing his watch.

You're welcome, Billy. I love the idea of wearing his watch, too. That's a great tribute to a great man.
